When do first officer classes start again and when will hiring start?

I almost chose C5 in my search. I can tell you from that experience that Cassie was outstanding. Get in touch with her for sure.

I don't think we stopped hiring FO's. We slowed down on the number of FO's being hired, but I wouldn't say we stopped.

Would probably be more accurate if you had said "interviewed" in place of "hired". There aren't any classes. Not until some time next year. DOH is first date of class. Therefore, there may be interviews and CJOs being given with TBD start dates, but that can't really be considered to be "hiring".

Well that's odd because I am scheduled to teach a new hire class in October and I see other classes on the schedule starting as well. The class size has been reduced for the FO's but we are still hiring FO's.

The class that started last week appears to have more FO's than CA's in it. As I stated, we have not stopped hiring FO's, just slowed way down on them so there is a wait.

When did they receive CJOs?

Perhaps I didn't make the right point. It would be better to not even use the words "hiring" and "hired" due to the unusual nature of the industry.

OP's question was slightly lacking precision but OP presumably is interested in applying to CommutAir as an F/O and would like to know if they are interviewing and when classes will be. The answer to "are they interviewing" is "probably, but in much smaller numbers right now", and if one asks "are there any classes on the horizon for people interviewing now" the answer is "no". It's one thing to say that there's a wait, but the reality is they are not even scheduled yet.

As opposed to where? I think everyone is hiring several months out for FOs right now.

So, you try to back out of you not knowing what you are talking about by adding more incorrect facts.

There is no "probably" about us interviewing. Yes, we are still interviewing for FO positions. Yes, there are classes on the horizon for FO's and we are currently "hiring" and putting FO's in class even though at a reduced amount. Yes, we have a hiring pool for the FO's, so an FO with a CJO will not be put in the next class like we were doing a couple of months ago.

I expect the FO hiring to pick up again right after Jan 1st (the holiday slow down) and the pool will not stay for very long.

I did not do that. I was trying to clarify my previous post which was open to misinterpretation. As far as which info is correct and which info is incorrect, well that's hard to figure out when you seemingly contradict yourself. Are you putting new F/O hires in classes or are you putting them in a pool?

You: "we are currently hiring and putting FO's in class"
Also you: "we having a hiring pool"

Now, maybe it's not a contradiction and the company is doing both. But that wouldn't make sense unless class date offerings were not in chronological order of CJO date. If they're not in order it would be interesting to know what determines whether someone interviewed today gets a date or gets pooled.

Appreciate the info regarding what you think will happen after January 1st.
