Not surprised. However, it shouldn't be terribly hard to get another base if you wanted one.

I’m sure this is trying to fill the void that Air Wisconsin will leave.

What’s the current wait time to get DEN?

Not sure of the time you'd have to wait on the calendar, but a number of people who finished training right around Dec/Jan have transferred to DEN very recently. I don't think it would take very long, but you just never know.

Well we’ve lost ~30% of our IAH block hours in the last 2 months so who knows what’s going on. People bidding ~50% in IAH are on reserve

Figured I would give a quick update:

Junior line holder IAD: 10/3/22
Junior line holder IAH: 7/5/22
Junior line holder DEN: 8/22/22

NH classes assigned IAD but able to bid out before end of training

The company renegotiated with United and got the flying shifted around a bit, so the above is no longer true.

United wanted C5 to do more flying at IAD but there are not enough IAD captains. In April every IAD captain got a line, even after the reshuffle of hours back to Houston.

Boy do I not envy crew scheduling next month. Those IAH-IAD flights are gonna be packed with IAH reserve captains
