Just heard Compass is loosing 6 aircraft from Delta moving to RAH. New hire pilots in January class and beyond cancelled and guaranteed jobs at TSA and GJT....

As far as I know we have not cancelled any classes for the future and hiring is still ongoing for normal attrition. Our focus remains largely on the West Coast and those birds were needed for someone with an East Coast base.

It's true that Compass is losing 6 E170s (the only E170s they have) to Republic to be based in New York. It is NOT true, however, that the classes were cancelled, or the applicants have guaranteed jobs at TSA and GoJet. The three are completely separate companies, with different hiring requirements, separate managements and hiring and training departments. Suggesting you can be hired at one of them and suddenly "appear" in another company is ridiculous (kind of like being hired at SkyWest and end up in ExpressJet class). It's a ridiculous rumor!

Default What I can confirm is a hiring freeze...

I had an interview this coming Thursday. I was called about 2pm and was politely told that they have instituted a hiring freeze and that I no longer have an interview but they will call me as soon as the start hiring again late spring, early summer.

That sucks honestly, I want to fly the 170/175s instead of the CRJs but guess I get to blast out my profile to more companies in the next few days and see what I get now.

Lol, sounds like we have another bitter "thanks but no thanks" candidate. Nice try troll. Yes they are going to east coast and RAH. We dont have an east coast base where delta wanted them. Nothing else you said is true.
Those 6 were under a seperate, recently expired contract, way different than our 36 DL 175s and 20 AA E175's.

That's strange because just before the conference call began management could be heard on an unmuted line asking a recruiter how the interviews were going. He seemed very excited to hear the "word of the day was 'hired'".

Well I wish that "hired" was the case... needless to say it came out of left field. I had all stuff to study, flight reservation and hotel stuff for the interview.
