How bad is the PHX-LAX commute?

In short you might not make it on a flight or two but you will make it eventually. |
And if there's an OAL jumpseater trying to catch the same flight and the FA jumps are available, take the FA jumpseat and get that other commuter onboard!
I'm a firm believer in commuter karma. |
What GreatBigSea says,
You have 53 minutes between here and LA. Give the cockpit jump up for someone else. Yes I doubt they'll do it for you at your airline, but the gesture counts for a lot. In the 11 months I've been commuting I've had one issue getting home. Other than that I've never had a problem. |
I always throw my bags on then wait to see if their are any jumpseaters that need the cockpit if it's one of our DL birds. If it's AA, any OAL guys and gals get the boot. That's the life of a commuter.

A Delta guy took the FA jumpseat so I could have the FDJ on a MSP-LAX flight a few years ago. Didn't realize that he did it until we deplaned. Still very grateful. Commuters tend to look out for each other.

With a MX base opening up in PHX this summer the number of CPZ flights in and out will likely go up,which is a good thing.
