(and yes I know they're just planning for when the database runs dry but I'm just feeling a little cynical right now)

I think the majors realized they squeezed the regional model for every penny they could and know eventually it will reach even with the cost and savings. Next option would be ab initio like practically the rest of the world. Can anyone deny that the airlines are good at dangling carrots to young pilots? Doesn't it make sense they cut out the middle man and just promise high school and college kids an amazing career if they just sign a 10 year contract flying regional jets for pennies? Wouldn't be surprised if Delta starts going to high schools with the 3 remaining flight attendants that are under 30 to show off what they'll get to mingle with. I'm also cynical though.

Never has there been a larger group of sanctimonious gasbags. I stopped reading at "industry leading.."
