Currently, there are 12 Delta A220's in production, 11 with wings. Two are close to ready for flight, and it is expected that 3 will be delivered this year, on top of the one already delivered. Beyond that, as to what and when deliveries will be in 2019...who knows....Delta needs 4 to be delivered to start revenue flights in late January.

These things do not just roll off the assembly line over night, and the emphasis will still be using them on the east coast. By the time they start picking up most of the hub to hub flying out here most of us will have moved on and quite possibly even be flying them. And while - granted, Delta has a lot of clout - their order was placed in 2016 and there are a lot of deliveries scheduled from orders placed earlier.

Since 2009 there have been a total of 409 orders for A220s. There have been only 49 deliveries. Delta currently has 4 of the 75 they have on order.

FWIW, Ed mentioned GoJet and XJT by name in that video. He didn't mention Compass, and he said Delta would be down to "about three" regionals.

Maybe not mentioning Compass was purposeful vagueness.

Then again, the center square on the bingo card is "DL performance sucks," so who knows.
