Just for clarity, is the hat a political statement in the “Make Compass Great Again” way, or the “Resist” way? I need to know which way to rock it...

How about “Make Compass Delta’s Again”?

Wow. Well, safe to say the Hogan ain't going nowhere. Didnt realize at first that the guy crashed and died. Super sad. I wonder how he made it to the runway..

My only thought would be hangar being close to the end of the runway, no one would question starting engines up at a maintenance spot, then fire up, a quick taxi, glance to make sure its clear and take off.

Considering that was probably the most lightly loaded Q400 to ever fly out of SEA, not having been refueled yet and with a crew of one, all he likely needed was a couple thousand feet of Tarmac or taxiway. If you are going to steal an aircraft and are suicidal, an actual runway would seem sort of optional. Upwind, downwind... Why would he have even cared?

He wasn’t half bad at aerobatics in a transport category plane.
I really feel for the guy, and I am very glad he took no one with him. I understand anger towards him as well, especially if he was part of your family or friends.
Sad it gets to this stage for people. Not that it makes it ok, but I still empathize.
I don’t know if there’s really much to change in security protocol as much as there is in getting people help before they end it all.

Hey at least he threw us a bone. Chalked it up to low wages and barriers to entry to become a mainline pilot. Gave us a good airshow too before retiring a dreaded Q400 early.

He was gonna do it anyway, at least he didn’t take anyone with him. Remember this is the company VX employees are supposed to be thankful for. Another lose for team arrogant, I mean Ala5ka.
