Anybody can use word and make it look like something official for that matter of creating rumors.
For my fellow former compass brothers and sisters I do wish this good news come in sooner than later. I really did enjoy working with all of you there and you guys deserve nothing else than a big good news.
I personally met, knew, and flew with the guy who was in charge of the compass/HA flow thing. I saw the meeting notes, names, watermarked docs, pictures and notes taken at the meetings, etc with my own eyes. it was a deal in progress that fell through.

It’s a shame to resurrect this UA thread just to make a statement like that lol

This. While definitely irrelevant now, it was in fact real at some point and time. Not that it matters because it fell through. There are flows to plenty of airlines so I don't see why HAL is such a hard one to believe.

Screw it, I’m going to revive this thread. I actually just read THE actual CPA legal document between United and Mesa.

The contract states a delivery of 30 aircraft to be delivered in late 2014 and early 2015, for a Five year term, which will end (unless extended) in late 2019-early 2020.. No specific “aircraft exit dates” were specified in the document as they didn’t have the delivery dates nailed down. UA contractually only has to give them a couple weeks notice if they intend to discontinue operations with them.

I DON’T like the idea of poaching another pilot group’s flying, but if Compass has a Hail Mary, this is it.

We must be on the same wave-length week, because I too read the CPA this morning. I'd rather this place close or be furloughed then take flying at the expense of another group, however with the discussions going on at Mesa about not receiving renewal news, this might have some weight to it.

In the "Ninth Amendment" of that CPA, dated July 2018, it gives a range of exit dates starting from June of this year to August 2020. Also, this CPA is just for the 175s, and does not include 20 CRJ-700s Mesa also has expiring starting this month. So in total, there are 50 UAX planes in the 70-76 seat range expiring over the next year.

My guess is that UA is going month-to-month on the expiring planes until a final final decision and announcement are made.

Default DEC’s needed at C5

CommutAir is desperate for DEC’s! We are offering 50k sign on bonuses and averaging 4 months on reserve in EWR. Most Jr. DEC line holder was hired in February. I’m a DEC from XJT, if you have any questions pm me. You can have a class date ASAP. I’ve worked at Mesa and XJT and I really enjoy this operation. Just throwing it out there for you guys with 1k 121 time. Also talked with the chief today and he said the DEC wave is just building. You can still get in on the build up side. We won’t have home grown CA’s till April. I wish you all the best of luck!

I’m not sure it’ll happen. But welcome on in! The base choices might be an issue with this west coast group. Could C5 offer DECx2 which is twice salary for the xcross country commuters.

Jk man thanks, any options right now are great to have.
