Losing Delta and New Opportunities

It's not even worth arguing at this point. Whether or not the double wave was created for that purpose, its current purpose is not anything remotely like that. It's very much similar to the biker wave, and is a friendly show of support. And yes, I do double wave mainline on occasion, and have received double waves from mainline aircraft more than several times. The fact that you are always a troll is sad. Really sad. I hope your career does well through this pandemic, as we are not the only ones who will be on the street. Pilots should help pilots. Yet we just go after each other.

Thanks Spoiler. No need to apologize. This was a top notch pilot group even with the shenanigans that we endured over the last 10 months.

On a personal note, I applied (and had CJOs) at both Skywest and Compass. Interestingly enough, in 2015, Skywest was the one who called me immediately for the interview but I had to bang down Compass's door for them to even let me interview for them. I picked Compass and am 100% glad I did in my situation (I was able to get out in 2018 while never commuting a day in my life and rocketing up the seniority list). If I'd gone to Skywest, I would have commuted for 9 months and wouldn't have been able to upgrade in base until I was already out the door at Compass moving on.
Of course, to each their own, but that's just one data point. Guys and gals who went to Compass knew it was a riskier move than Skywest, but had great upsides in the form of movement and never commuting to a Midwest or East Coast base.
I've jumpseated on and had Skywest jumpseaters. Every one I've met in person has been nice to me and I don't have any hard feelings towards them. Had Compass not offered me a job, I would have worked there. Of course, I'm just one guy, but not all of us have malicious feelings toward Skywest. It's more a friendly teasing for most.
