I’d assume they are referencing mainline FAs. Not pilots.

Did I just read that Delta or United has some clause about FAs for wholly owned have to be paid the same as mainline and why they have a shell company? Interesting because it would set a precedent for pilots as well.

Yes United. But I don’t think it would effect pilot because they would never allow that clause.

Yeah for United anyway, except fir that to work for the pilots it would require that the pilot’s union would have to be as successful at negotiating as the FAs union and it’s difficult to imagine that...

Honestly with the way things have been going I’m surprised this didn’t happen already.

the UA FA contract says..the extent permitted by law, the Company will recognize the Union as the exclusive bargaining representative for the Flight Attendants on any commuter airline (primary 135 carrier) which it establishes or purchases in whole or in significant part...

Unfortunately FAs have little to no leverage because it is very easy to replace them. United created Mana Air to get around the FA contract so it can own and control regional airlines. While United has a minority state in Mana Air, it is structured so that no one else owns more than United, so UAL effectively controls the company.
