My Dad was so proud when I told him I flew the 747 ... until I explained what I meant.
However, Republic ensured there would be no future confusion by changing the number then lighting the airplane on fire.

While we’re talking about the planes... did anyone else feel that we had 2 different airlines?
the AA side, which was like working for the best regional in the USA, killer routes, super long flights, perfect mx and on time performance, great high credit pairing, ability to drop swap and create day trips, and a SWA style CRM
and then the Delta stuff. Always 1-25 hours delayed, stranded unhappy passengers, broken planes with 7 MEL’s, short routes and low credit pairings, 5 long days away from base, and CA’s that we’re afraid to crack a joke in the cockpit because they didn’t want Delta to hear about it?

100%. It certainly kept Cpz interesting. I miss doing extra day trips out of LAX and crediting tons of hours with more nights at home. The good ole days!
