Good news from Compass
 

Well, I always love being able to spread a little good cheer this close to the holidays. It seems that all those who recieved the check airman letters at CMP will be getting back pay to day one. That should be a nice X-mas bonus. Everyone should be receiving letters from the company about this within the next couple of days.
Those ppl hired after class 4 (or the second class of 12) will be backpayed to the begining of their IOE as well.

I believe the cutoff for the intial CA hires that will be receiving this backpay will be number 76 + or - a number or two depending on class numbers. Everyone take care I know we all need this check. :D

Wow, that IS good news...I'm really heartened to hear that the company decided to do the right thing. I guess you can change the position in your profile now! ;)

Wow - glad to hear things are looking better at CP!!! It was a little dissapointing seeing a new compay do their employees wrong from the start. At least they're making it right.

The whole pay issue there has kept me from applying... maybe I need to rethink that now...???

A little late to rethink it. The recent decision doesn't affect new hires or folks higher than 76 on the seniority list (since they will be paid FO pay until they can hold CA on the 175).

Sorry, I meant that I didn't apply b/c CP didn't pay what they said they were going to pay. If they'd do that to the startup guys, made me wonder what they'd do to a newhire FO.... but anyway, glad to see it working out for you guys! :D

Yeah, all the Northwest pilots will get raises to where they should be and Streeland sends out personal handwritten apology notes to all NWA employees for his dumpster-diving policy towards them.

Now that's good news.

It's great we are finally getting the pay we deserve. Capt pay from day one will be a nice check. It was tough getting the letter for Check Airman then being told I was only going to be a F.O. for two months. I think everyone in our class will have a chance to be a check airman at some point in the next few months. My sources tell me that 29 will be the total number of Check Airman when we have all 370+ pilots on board.
Does anyone know when DTW will open? I haven't heard anything about it lately. It will help my base seniority when all the CRJ guys go there. Five numbers are five numbers man! Xtreme I owe you a few drinks when we do reccurent in YUL!! Maybe we can be at the Unison for Playboy night again. ;)
