Compass Route Map
anyone? how about after all jets arrive?
|
sadly enough, just look at a DC9 route map from NWA.
I know they are doing some real long flights like MEM SAN, DTW monterry Mexico, and MSP vancouver. |
the routes at Compass change every month. There have been several new additions and some announcements of some to come.
What will it look like after all the aircraft are here? No one knows. In a few months I know that San Diego is a possibility, and already going to SLC, IAH, DFW, BOS, YVR. So pretty much coast to coast and full north to south. |

Not all of the flights are replacement for the 9. Vancouver was only seasonal but now its full time. DTW to Monterrey is new service MEM-BOS used to be Pinnacle.. |

I have never seen Compass in IAH. Its either Mesaba or NWA Bus
Funny, Compass people are saying SAN as one of their destinations. Last time I checked, only NWA is flying to SAN from MSP. Mesaba was told it may be flying the SAN route. Let's wait and see what happens with the merger, because when and if that happens, all bets are off. |

That's true. I ought to know. I flew to IAH 2 days in a row my last trip.

I know i wasn't a business major, so anyone care to explain why you'd start a new company (that you're going to own) and have them fly around in airplanes (that you'll own/lease) instead of simply buying the E-175 and letting the mainline guys fly it for a newly established rate? Give some FO's there a shot at upgrading, and create more jobs for guys coming in? just seems like a waste.

The mainline guys had the option to take the E-175's but they were too good to fly little RJ's

Where did you hear that? The company (NWA) wanted to keep it seperate. They did not want to allow the 175s on the property at a different pay rate and work rules because of what they called "mainline creep". This means that in the next contract, the 175s would have been brought up to standard mainline levels (something the company wished to avoid). |
