Compass

Searching their website, under job requirements it states 500 ME where as all their ads say at least 1000 ME. Which is true? Thanks.

if you only have 500 ME that's your first problem in this day and age

I have flown with some guys who had less than 1000 ME. You need 1000 ME to upgrade. 500 is the min.

not sure what website you're looking at?

Compass Airlines

At one time they were hiring people with less than 1000 hours of multi time. I believe in the last month of two people have been well above the minimums since the stack of resumes has been flooded with more experience and high flight time.

Either way, you'll never get the job unless you apply. Best of luck.

I could be wrong, but was it Compass that was asking furloughed pilots, that they have to get taken off the seniority list of their other airline before they would hire them? I seem to remember reading about that, and can't even remember if it was indeed Compass or another place.

What exactly is Compass looking for?

I applied at Compass and today received one of those standard form letters saying my qualifications are exceptional but they have decided to pursue other candidates. So what are they looking for exactly, because I
had:

6100 Total
4800 Multiengine
4200 Turbine
4000 121 Experience
ATP First Class Medical

I don't get it. Anyone have any insight?

That's more time than some of our Captains (myself included) so that's pretty nutty. I know they are down to the last few classes now so maybe they're getting extremely selective...on the other hand maybe they're going the other way and not hiring high-timers because they realize these last few classes will be in the right seat for some time and they don't want them to jump ship before upgrade. Heh, on the other hand, considering our f'd up HR department it's entirely possible they sent you the letter accidentally. I know someone who just got an invite to interview...and he's already been at CPS for 6 months!

[QUOTE=JayHub;471001]not sure what website you're looking at?

I dug into the careers tab, search jobs for "pilot" and looked up requirements.

I did apply because really, it's networking. Thanks for the replies.

Ryan out!
