Me thinks DALPA will have a small problem with a DCI carrier having an Airbus on their certificate. Even if there is nothing in the contract that specifically bars them from having one, there is no way in hell RAH will EVER operate an Airbus for DL.

Looks like the CRJ, A320, Do328, and whatever used to be there is missing.

Yawn... this rumor has been around since NWA was getting 175s and Compass would be flying them. The RAH boys and girls have been chomping at the bit. It's hilarious actually... I love getting into a hotel van with those guys and have them fill my ears with Compass rumors.
If DL likes whipsaw and BB doesn't want it... who do you think is going to win that fight? Who's in charge here... it certainly isn't BB.

It is very unlikely that DAL/NWA will sell Compass to us, Delta has mastered the art of whipsaw, and would more likely want two E175 carriers so they can force us both to keep our costs down. That being said, DAL has no love for wholly owned carriers, regardless of what they are saying now about preffering them, just look what they have done to Comair.
I'd say Delta loves Comair, they can do whatever they please to us! That's a parent company's DREAM!

all i can say is i hope the mainline boys start taking their flying back. what happened to the flight instructor's in the 90's is happening to the regionals in the 00's and will happen to the majors in the 10's unless the mainline guys step it up and put a stop to it. i consider myself to be neutral because i was in the regionals, but its my opinion that if mesa, rah, etc., get an opportunity to move into any larger scale equipment than what they already have this wont be a career anymore. it will be a live with mommy and daddy till you die gig.

i hear through word of mouth that rah is interested in buying compass. from what i hear compass has an airbus certificate which is the reason rah wants to buy them. all i can say is this....if rah gets their hands on compass EVERYONE dreaming of that glamorous job at a major can kiss that dream away! this is quite possibly the turning point of this whole industry. you think its bad now? it is going to get a lot worse if this happens. airlines will slowly become nothing more than ticket sellers and rah (which is pretty much just a pilot contract service anyway) will staff those airplanes with some of the cheapest pilots around. bye bye airline pilot dream job. hello 60k/year airbus captain with 10 days off a month!
Please tell me you're joking. You really wrote this with a serious face? If RAH wants to buy compass, its only to get their hands on the 175s compass operates. I really enjoyed the joke about them being the "cheapest pilots around" and the "10 days off a month!". RAH is a regional operator, just like every other 50 to 70 seat operator out there. The pay is favorable to many of those other companies. Do not group mesa and RAH together in regards to contract and pay, as they are not comparable. RAH isn't taking over the world, quit being so paranoid. The world isn't ending today. Go grab a drink and chill out.
