I have not heard of any instructor hiring though I know a few pilots on the line who said they are interested. The sim comes in the spring and the training dept will be moved to minneapolis then as well. I just had not heard anything formal yet about hiring IPs.

Hi!
My best pilot freind is now at Compass, via Spirit and TSA. He told me about it, then I went and found it on the Compass site. I also heard that Compass is now hiring pilots again. Can't tell from the website, because they've always been accepting resumes. cliff GRB |
Sounds like the position is like the ATI program at NWA....you won't actually be teaching in the simulators...just doing more of the systems, flows, ground schools, ect.
|
They will probably get a lot of applicants. I interviewed for a similar position at RAH - and there were over 100 candidates!
It was all ground. Recurrent, indoc, things of that nature. The RAH position was advertised at $35,000, which I would think should be a base salary for that type of work. |
I'd say $35,000-$45,000 starting sounds about right. It is nice since you can negotiate your contract a little.
