I also heard there was talk of 20 new airplanes for American and that the CP was saying this (second hand info). However, some people start rumors here just for fun so I hope that's not the case with this one.

Yeah, all of us at AE are hoping those aircraft make their way to you!

Look for the pools to drain quickly. 35 Ejets slotted to come to Compass very very soon. Mainly Northeast flying for AMR.

If this is so sure, why wasn't there any upgrades in the latest vacancy bid?

One would think they would anticipate and upgrade in preparation for the increase in flying if this rumor is true.

No news at all as of a couple days ago... that comes from the CP. Things are really quiet because there is nothing going on. They're still interviewing.

source...doubtful imo that we would be able to keep up with the training demands an award like this would require

For what its worth, were told in 9mth over the summer that Compass was trying to get approval to use the sims in St. Louis and Brazil for recurrent training to free up MSP sims for new hires and upgrades. This was in anticipation of flows last year. Not sure that I believe it but thats what was said.
