Are less crews needed in MSP & DTW because of the 717's coming online or is another regional picking up some of the flying in MSP & DTW? Any more rumors of DTW closing as a base?

717's? I guess I missed that one, what's the story with that?

Although never a crew base, the LGA flying dropped as the 717 came online. About the same time flying was expanded to the west coast shuttle.

I don't believe the 717s are flying into LGA yet but of course will be, I THINK Endeavor is ramping up out there too...

But how does that include Compass?

It doesnt. You seem to have misunderstood. The idea floated was that 717s coming online (at dal) might be part of the reason for compass reducing flying in dtw/msp.

DAL is using the 717s to replace 50 seat rjs, so the larger rjs as well as the 717s will be carrying the pax that used to fly on three 50 seaters.

I have an interview coming up at compass, also live in San Diego, when the new lax base opens in February is it expected to be junior? Could a new hire get that out of training? I think I read somewhere that there will be long call reserve now at compass- can someone explain how that will work? Thanks!
