I've had two times in the last year on van rides to the airport where SkyWest Captains specifically say, when are we getting back "our" flying or this used to be an OO route, or I hear we are getting this flying back next month. It gets old...trust me, and I heard it at the last two airlines I was at as well. SkyWest knows full well who Compass is, especially in SLC. Just like they knew who XJ was when they were flying through there. Take a walk through the terminal in SLC in uniform as a CZ pilot and it's easy to watch not one SkyWest pilot look at you and simply act like you don't exist. I honestly don't know what the issue is? As a fellow person in the industry I'm just one to say hey, or how are you, to the fellow pilots in the industry, but SkyWest folk never give me the opportunity because they walk in a straight line and keep their eyes forward. The only time I ever have positive experiences with SkyWest folk are when they come up to the flight deck and need a ride home...other than that it's few and far between.

I've always smiled at Compass crews I've yet to get one back. Good thing I don't make judgments on a person or a pilot group based on how many smiles I received.

If I walk from E gates to B in SLC I can walk by tens of pilots. Southwest, Delta, SkyWest, Compass. Nobody generally says hello in passing unless eye contact is made, and I personally dont go out of my way to stare at pilots faces to exhange a "sup" head nod in case they look back. Do you think if you saw a SkyWest guy and said hello he would blatently ignore you? Seriously everybody drop the teenage girl passive aggressiveness.

Why would anyone expect to be smiled and waved at all day every day? Thats too much work especially at an airport. Just do your work and go home! It drives me nuts. If you expected less you would be much happier.

Geez I'm sick of reading this already. If you want someone to give you attention, get a dog.

I'm sorry you have had these experiences and feel this way. As a Slc Skywest captain I don't ever intentionally ignore someone because they fly for someone else. We all represent the same thing and I'd like to think we work together and not apart. I would not take it personally that they don't say hi to you and honestly it probably has nothing to do with your uniform because they don't always say hi to me and I'm in the same uniform. I have been in msp and I know I don't get a friendly hi how are you either from other compass pilots but I don't take it personally. I guess I just assume they didn't see me or were too busy to say hi. I'd really like to think we are all in this together and represent one purpose. I'm sad when a select few sour apples seem to represent the majority. Their are 3200 pilots and 700 are based in Slc so if you had 5 guys not say hi, I'd like to think they don't really make up how all the rest of us 695 pilots actually feel. Their are sour apples in every group, even here at Skywest. Anyone that thinks you took our flying, is an idiot since we really have no control over who Delta awards the flying to.

Give an example where a SkyWest pilot goes crazy for Compass flying in and out of LAX. We don't care. Get over yourself.
