The overall attitude is positive, upbeat and respectable. 95% of the pilot group has been kicked down hard at previous regionals (furloughed, dragged through bankruptcies, shutdowns, major concessions, etc) so we all "get it" and have been around the block. The corporate culture of Compass is great but now that TSH is infiltrating the ranks we're seeing changes in the wrong direction. Little things here and there that add up to be big things. But overall I say it's a great place to hang out until a major calls.

Agreed. It's a regional, but it's been good to me so far.

For AA: New York, Charlotte, or DFW

For DAL (in addition to LAX): SEA or SLC

Take it how you'd like but I had a personal conversation with the Head Honcho Brochondo.

DFW and SLC.

To put the squeeze on regionals with good contracts.

Could you expand on the changes you're seeing in the wrong direction?

There have been flat out contract violations and then they say "break the contract now and grieve it later...or we will see about doing an LOA at some point". Flat out disregarding hotel language, minimum/max credit line construction, blah blah blah. Recently the union has agreed to a few LOAs that came about because the company had flat out disregarded the contract to begin with.

Could someone describe the current process as far as indoc/training, and how long it typically takes to complete training once you have been offered ajob? Thanks in advance

For me I had 5 weeks after the interview until the one day orientation then home for 30 days. Upon return I had, week 1: indoc, week 2: 4 hours of systems, 2 hours of fms, and 2 hours of systems integration in a touch screen simulator, week 3: procedure trainer (touch screen devices running through flows and callouts), weeks 4-6 was sims, loft, and loe. Plan on 8 weeks probably, most classes going through when I was there had about 8 weeks but my class size being small helped us keep it short.

so around 12 weeks with the at home study?

Do you roll right into IOE? I'm in the middle of the home study portion right now.

They were backed up. I waited for almost two weeks for Captain OE, but FO's were being given priority I think.

Pretty close 10 -12 weeks . I started 3/14/14 home study and finish check ride 6/30/14.

If anyone needs a room to rent while in MSP training, PM me for contact info. 3 miles from schoolhouse, quiet and a lot cheaper than hotel. I'm leaving so there's an opening.
