Every year there has been flows, there have been hold backs - its SOP! It doesn't mean the house is falling down.
There are reserve green days for LAX FOs, we are overstaffed if anything.
The CA side is just fine too. So they have to offer some critical pay every once in a while - it's cheaper than running an upgrade class in September or October and having to pay for it. Since they waited, their mainline partner pays for the training.
As far as SLIP instructors, they all love working doubles and getting PAID!
Nobody should lose sleep over this.

Been browsing the past few pages trying to get the low down. A few buddies and myself were considering a move to Compass, not really sure if its worth it though. LAX is the junior base. DTW is going away in June. You could likely hold Minneapolis after a couple flow classes move on. Reserve will be short as we still need to hire 40 pilots a month through the summer. This is a young company and you won't find many lifers here. Most of us have been at another airline before Compass. We still have our own bad apples but they are usually only vocal on these boards.
