The compass hiring for 2010 was supposedly entirely due to flow-ups.

no flow-ups, no hiring.

Also keep reading that this sale is not final yet, just agreed to.

I really don't have any desire to be based in MSP or DTW, so the flow up potential was a big ticket item for me. The PIC type is big too, but not as big. I'll get that somewhere else, albeit not necessarily in the same equipment.

Purple, you are correct about the Trans States ownership thing. Kinda throws a turd in the proverbial punch bowl.

Honestly, it will be tough for TSH to get enough ppl to apply that have ATP mins without that flow so lets see where that takes us... :(

... not to mention that if/when the sale becomes final and/or the flow through to DAL goes away, I wonder how many, if any, current compass pilots will leave!?

The compass website is still not updated yet. It says the "Flowthrough" still exists.

Thats because nothing with the flow agreement has changed, yet. It may or it may not, that has yet to be seen. I hope it stays, at lease for those that were already covered under the agreement.

I do too hopefully your brethren agree with you...at least for those that went through a NWA or DAL style interview at least.
Having sweated out the greatest recession in my life time all while nowing full well my job was up for the taking to my mainline brothers was tough...but this is a lil tougher....ah well I guess now time can't pass fast enough...just to have closure!

I was at compass a few years ago, and I left. I kept wondering if it was the right decision as I now would be close to an upgrade. No regrets now, and it reaffirms my belief, or lack thereof, in any future or promises with any regionals. They promise the world to put asses in seats and get guys and gals to work at slavery wages, but when time comes to deliver on promises they find a way out. The amazing part is that there is never a shortage of pilots taking the bait.

Good luck to all, including many friends that are still there. I have worked for 4 airlines and each time I switched it was for the best. Having said that, Compass has the best group of guys and girls in the flight deck and the Cabin. I really enjoyed and miss working with them. I wish you guys the best.

Are there any hiring updates from Compass? Are they planning to interview?

From what we have been told we are still planning on interviewing and hiring through the end of the year.
