That still leaves roughly 60~ more slots for them to get up to the projected LAX size of 207 in base. There is still growth out there.
50-60 new bidders will be added to LAX bid in September and August after the September and October upgrade awarded pilots are done with training. There are only around 12 flow pilots left in LAX that will be leaving the LAX base by the end of September and all of their replacements have already been awarded. Those pilots are in upgrade training class in July through September. When thinking about how many upgrades and new hires need to be awarded, you have to stop looking at the flows. In terms of the current November bid, they have no affect anymore. The October bid took care of awarding their replacements. In crew planning's eyes, they are all gone and their replacements have already been awarded. The current bid is for November and it only accounts for AA planes, attrition, and any shortage they put themselves in. |
Yeah I'm dumb, only 13 more flows from LAX, but by November, we will still be 30-40 captains short of their projected year end number of 207.

404 is claiming that all the flows have been replaced. They haven't! The company is behind on upgrades. That's why we are Junior Manning every day this month in LAX CA... Critical pay wasn't enough. |

The current bid for the November bid period only has 8 total upgrades starting their upgrade class dates in the last 2 weeks of September. Those upgrades will be ready for November. If the company was really behind on the flow replacements, they would have done more than just 4/week on the upgrade bid for November. |

Oh tunes, you know you're right. We will still need to award another 50 upgrades for flow pilots. I stand corrected. For all those wondering what the true state of the Compass upgrades in the coming months, ignore what I have said. In fact, we have plenty of flows that need to leave still and those slots still need to be awarded.

Re alignment changed to Vacancy with only 8 upgrade slots still..... |
Hey guys off topic, but does anyone know the FAA sim id for the sim that Compass is using in DFW? Thanks
|
How long are new hires sitting on reserve after training and how long to hold MSP; any ideas?
