Compass E75 question

Family member flew today on a Compass E75, they were told that there was a new rule effective today: no pax would be allowed to used the forward lav, that lav is for crew members only...what say you? Thx

It must have been deferred or something. That is not any kind of normal procedure.

Gonna guess smoke detector MEL.

I bet it was a flight attendant that described it as such.

I've had the fire bottle showing empty. Our MEL allows crew use (namely the FAs to flush coffee). So a lot of crew members will say it is for crew use only. Keeps pax from asking too many questions about it or pressing to use it. My guess is the wording and understanding was missed.

That or one of the guys ate Death Wings the night before..I'd want the lav for crew use only as well.

FWD LAV trash bin door would not secure closed... therefore the lav was deferred for crew use only.

Can't let those pesky trash bin doors jump up and bite the pax after all.

The lav trash fire suppression won't work properly if the door isn't secure.
