Compass SEA Domicile Rumored

In addition to the recently announced LAX base, a SEA domicile is rumored to launch by summer. Source verifiable, first hand information.

You do realize there's a Compass thread already? Why can't we keep all the info in one place?

There is a rumor our there that big D wanted to ax MSP as a domicle and CPZ declined.

Interesting. I could see the viability of this only if DAL wants to turn their skirmishes with AS into a full-scale war.

I'll be sure remove my cover inside the ship and to square my corners from now on, too.

I'll post it in there, too for the record books and guys/gals doing future research.

Why not SLC over SEA? SEA only gets SFO and LAX.

SLC would work but it won't be very large, although it doesn't have to be since CPZ is a small carrier. Just keep in mind SkyWest has a contract with Delta through 2020 that requires at least 85% of the DCI departures in SLC to operate by SkyWest Airlines. In all there are about 645ish departures a day out of SLC with SkyWest operating around 200ish of them. And not all of the 200ish departures are for Delta, some of these flights are for our other codeshares (US, AA , UA, AS) and many are SkyWest branded operations (at-risk). I'd estimate there are only around 140ish DCI departures which means other DCI carriers can only operate around 20-25 departures out of SLC. That's not many and I’m not sure if that’s enough to warrant a domicile. Especially since XJT (ASA) and 9E will flow out there as well and take some of these slots.
