Life as a Compass Pilot

Hey Compass pilots, a few questions about....stuff...

1) how long is the period before medical/dental/vision eligibility? Do you find it to be pretty steep?

2) do pilots receive travel benefits with both delta and American, or just delta? Are those travel privileges the same as with other delta connection operators?

3) is compass still advertising the guaranteed delta interview?

4) is there an advantage to choosing Compass and flying the 175 over another pilot who flies the crj?

5) anyone commuting out of Salt Lake City? How's your experience been?

6) is the $25 listed as first year pay on apc accurate or is that pays scale out of date?

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!

I believe the interview ended when our parent company bought compass. And that was maybe 4 or 5 years ago.

No travel benefits at American as of yet. Nobody here seems to mind as our priority would be awful with American anyway.

Pay scale is accurate, commute wouldn't be to bad, and I wouldn't count on the guaranteed interview.

You could have asked all these questions in the Compass Updates thread.

1) benefits start the second full calendar month after hire. So for example, someone hired yesterday would have their benefits start August 1.

4) Come if you want to be based in LAX or SEA (pretty much no wait, faster movement) or MSP (can hold after several months, slow movement)
