Compass Airline Interview prep

Hi-was just wondering if anyone here has taken the 50 question test for the Compass interview and if using Sheppard Air's ATP prep OR their airline test prep would be enough to pass it.

Thanks!

I took it back in Aug and only studied the Everything Explained book. A buddy of mine just took it a few weeks ago and also only studied the same book and we both got hired.

Thanks. Do you remember some of the questions/topics to focus on

Yea everything explained is good and the gouge questions are pretty accurate. You're still not going to feel like you passed, but then you'll probably go on to the next phase and probably get the job offer.

Lots of aerodynamic questions. Many questions framed around a scenario.

The gouge online was spot on for me. Back then we had 3 tests (not sure if we still do) One was a coordination, memory/recall etc. Basically video games that test hand eye coordination, and mental ability. Some said lumosity games helped. I found it not hard at all. However I play tons of games already in spare time. So who knows.
The other was a personality test, and the other was aerodynamics. Many math questions revolved around things we simply dont do any more. For example, the long hand way of figuring out a navigation "direct to" type scenarios. But its on there, so study it. Things like the 3-1 rule are a must know, and converting C to F or F to C sometimes comes into play. Like I said, the gouges online were dead on accurate for me.
I read some jeppessen turbine engine guide of some sort for the topics like compressor stall, surging etc. There is also the Naval Aviator book alot of guys like to. Just cant recall the full title of the book. Aerodynamics for the Naval Aviator? I think.
But more than anything, try and be a good fit. Be yourself, be nice, be social, be professional. Compass doesn't just hire anyone with good scores.
Good luck!

I think the gouges online are old. There isn't 3 test anymore, only one 50 question test that you will walk out of there shaking your head feeling like you failed badly. There were a lot of questions about L/Dmax, swept wing aerodynamics/surface area and a few turbine engine questions. Everything explained is good to study up on and so is the Turbine Engine Manual.

Thanks!! It sounds like some questions also may be fromthe ATP written?

Umm, maybe a few similar to the ATP written but its been a couple years since I've taken that test so I honestly don't remember. I wouldn't stress this written too much, just study everything and you will be fine haha :)

Apart from the test, what else was in the interview? Was there a sim check or panel interview?
Thanks
