Journey Log
Scott IPC Recurrent and he tells us anytime we get 12 miles offshore
We have to have a signed journey log. Anybody doing this?? Have I lived in a cave all my life and that's why I didn't know? Dave |
We logged each leg in the maintenance log plus kept the flight plan/.plotting charts in a revolving 6-month file.

We do that for International ops, he's saying if I go from MIA to HOU that it's
required. Same with TEB to MIA. Talked with my retired POI yesterday, he's Never heard of such a thing. Retired UA International Captain. Dave |
I'd agree with the POI, Dave Stohr preaches the same story, btw. I think if the aircraft logs show where the plane has been it's good enough

Journey log is for International Flights. US Territorial waters are claimed 200NM offshore.
|
Per ICAO a journey log is required anytime you conduct Class II navigation of more than 765 nm between navaids.
