Currently at a regional on the 900, prior 135. Couple of type ratings.

It can be a great career, IF you like challenges, are looking for taking on responsibility rather than being a number on a list and can accept changes.

Exactly what I’m looking for. 121 is not my cup of tea, I enjoyed the challenges and tasks that came with 135/91..

Then, look for a department/operator that has some strong internal controls and processes regarding flight and maintenance; has extensive international ops and a leadership that knows what they are about. If they can’t give you straight, confident answers about their policies and procedures, show you in black and white how they work; look elsewhere.

Next, learn and never stop learning. Attend a safety program like USC or ERAU, if you don’t know the answer, don’t ask, look it up, do research. It’s not the easy way, but it’s what works.

Become the local expert in an area you are passionate about, study leadership, do the NBAA CAM program.

Low time, recently COM certificated ASEL and in middle of changing careers. Any other professional development programs you could suggest?

I'm being considered for a P91 right seat in a PC-12. They are getting FAA approval for Pilot Development Program and I guess get a letter form FAA so can sit SIC and log time with passengers and PIC on empty legs.

Looking to separate myself from lower time pilots while I build time, etc.

Question

this thread seems to have drifted from the OP's question: does anyone have any information about Caesar's Entertainment? QOL, pay, etc.
thanks

What's so challenging about 91/135? I've done both, and didn't find one more challenging than the other. You had more tedious work 91/135, but it's certainly not more of a challenge. I'd rather get paid almost triple with a better sched, less tedious BS and comparable responsibility.

Thanks, GF.

Say Again writes: "triple pay" but meaning triple what? $20,000/yr? $50k?
And are you always on call or do they have true days off?
