Please review 14 CFR 61.55. You have not provided enough info for anyone to give an accurate answer. Under what 14 CFR will the flight be under- Part 91 or 135? Will it be in the USA domestic airspace?

See the thread titled “Gulfstream IV SIC” this folder. Galaxy Flyer’s post #4 sums it up nicely.
Private, AMEL and Instrument Rating, Appropriate ground and flight training and basic aircraft familiarity per 61.55. No BE-300 SIC Type is required for domestic US airspace ops.
Ask yourself- Do You want that SIC to just sit on their hands/work the radios, or be a relevant and trained member of the flight crew in the event of an emergency?

Please read all of 61.55; it contains everything you need to comply with for the SIC to act as SIC. Yrs, they require annual training which apparently is too onerous for some.
Having a specific TR is different from meeting the 61.55 training and checking requirements.
