General Electric Co. Flight Department

HwkPlt,
They've gone thru this cycle before. A friend went thru it around '93--everyone fired, we're rethinking the department. Then, everyone reinterviewed for their old jobs. The change then was all the "out stations" lost their Citation IIIs. The BBJs came and went and for awhile only Boeing contracted pilots were allowed to fly them. GE is 90% of the way to a great department, they just never make it.
BPWI,
Perhaps that, as mgt's way of showing cost savings and Bill N gets revenge of a sort.

Willing to bet dollars to doughnuts that the "cost savings" will actually be a rise in variable costs to the tune of 3-5%.

One of our Reserve pilots flies with them on the -605. I've not heard from him yet but the press release posted above makes it official enough for me.

I threw up in my mouth after reading that article. So depressing.
