I'm not saying 100% can't, but unless the OP is leaving out a huge piece of info, it's unlikely. The original tone is that of, well I think I'll just go work at PayPal (at least that's how I read it, and I could be way off).
Come on! His good friend told his wife they might be hiring! Heís in!

This job was posted for only a few days, starting on Dec 2 (a Sunday) and closed on Dec 5. It's safe to say the pilot was chosen before the listing (like many high profile 91 gigs) and the listing was a broadcast for the chosen pilot to make HR and lawyers happy.

Iím not surprised. Almost every corporate job that is decent does this. If they really are hiring super low time guys off the street (like the OP), thatís a huge red flag.

Nike supposedly is pretty crappy. Lots of turnover.

Yes and yes. Both are revolving doors and have had a bad rep for some time now.

Wonder what the job prospect if they showed up for an interview with Coke with a bottle of Aquafina in hand. Or better yet the first day of line training and greeting the COO.

The guys that used to fly the owner of Hilton Hotels always stayed at Marriotts, so thereís that.
