Few understand how closed corporate aviation is—those that know never talk. It’s part of the job to be reticent about the company, the department. There are several departments at Statesville, best knock on doors.

Lowe's mostly hires locals from "associates" of the already employed pilots and Chief Pilot. Kind of hard to get on unless you know somebody there.

As to QOL, I have worked with and know several pilots who have worked there, and some that still do. Some have been there for years and some who quit after several months. In other words, some like it others don't. I don't know the specifics on the why's they do or don't. I havent talked to some of them in several years so things may be different now.

This is 100% correct. Those jobs are filled before it’s ever posted. The posting is just checking a box for HR.

I know nothing about this department but I would guess the more accurate statement would be "the department manager might have a candidate in mind by the time it is posted by HR". From what I have experienced, this should not discourage anyone from applying as the candidate usually gets fully vetted AFTER he or she is offered and accepts the position. Lots of things can and do happen during this period.

All I can tell you is Lowe's Corporate is moving to CLT. They are already using one of Wilson's Hangers to house 1 or 2 of their Falcons.
They are actively looking for 2 new pilots to join their team.

Good Luck!

Hiring again.
Hope you’re black, though. Black chief pilot has only hired black pilots thus far.
The last new hire with a whopping nine months Captain experience in a Pilatus…..
Super woke, though.

If the CP was white, and hired a white guy, would you have the same outrage? Or gave another white low time pilot a chance?
