Default Columbus OH

I have a pretty good list of companies based in Columbus with flight departments but was just wondering if anyone knows of places in the area looking to hire in the near future. I have tried to contact most of them but only heard back from about 25%.

Curious to see if anyone on here lives/works in the Columbus area. Family and I will be moving back in a couple years after I wrap up my military time and I’m definitely interested in the corporate side. I know of Nationwide, Scott’s, AEP, Battelle, Honda. Any others out there? Anyone have experience flying corporate in central Ohio? Trying to avoid NetJets and RAH if possible.

Worthington Industries, Cardinal Health, Advanced Drainage Systems all have departments at KOSU.

Flight Safety is there and may need instructors given the current hiring environment.

Yea, Flight Safety got so bad on staffing NetJets had to start recruiting SIC's to be Sim Instructors. Weren't enough instructors to handle the large number of pilots moving to the Latitude.

I’ve heard on this forum multiple times that FlightSafety, specifically at CMH, is a terrible place to work; toxic, low wages, long hours, etc. Anyone currently there that would care to dispel any of those? It seems like it could be a good job and a great way to be at home in my own bed every night.

I also appreciate everyone tagging in with all the different flight departments around Columbus. Is there any way to find out if any of these companies are hiring aside from checking their websites every so often?

Cheers!

I’m teaching at FSI right now. Your enjoyment very much depends on the center AND the program within that center. You might have a good center, but be in a crappy program. Or vice verse. Or maybe they’re both good.

pay could be better, but it’s not bad considering that the job is really quite easy. It does get mind numbing, though.

im looking to go back to flying because every time the [insert system] slide comes up, I die a little inside. It’s very repetitive.

you are, however, home every day. And you can contract fly if you want.
