Any Corp jobs out there with quick upgrades?
Looking for a job with a quick route to some JET Turbine PIC (18 months or less).
Los Angeles area base would be a big plus.
Don't care about the pay.
I have:
2500+ TT
2000+ Multi Engine Turbine / Regional jet experience
Just want to know if you guys have heard of anything out there.
Thanks

sorry
Thanks for those thoughts...I'm sure you are right. But I still don't know the answer to my question. Do you know of any corporate jobs with JET upgrades under 18 months? I have my own personal reasons for desiring this and its not just so I can run off to another company. Thanks
No, I know of none. Didn't mean to sound so bitter, but asking about corporate upgrade times is not always kosher when inquiring about flight departments which are already established. Wish I could be of more help.

Your best bet would be to look into charter. Maybe try to snag a street captain gig in Citations or something. Charter turnover tends to be higher as well, so even if you hire in as an SIC, upgrade potential is greater.
As Gauley said, most established corporates don't roll that way. You might be able to walk into a PIC position, but trying to calculate upgrade times from an SIC position is a nebulous undertaking - so many things can change in a department. Not only that, but frankly, if your not cutting it and/or they don't like you or feel you are ready, you're not going to get upgraded automatically, even if the opportunity does come. More factors play into this than just flying skills. You are not a number as in the airlines, you are a team component. If that component is not working, it gets changed or set aside.
Wish we could be more helpful.

Thanks to both of you, this is helpful. Any ideas on how I go about looking into Charters? Any names in particular or any clue at all on how to start this kind of search? Thanks again!

If you can get a hold of the Air Charter guide that would help you with a listing of prospective employers. Most of the charter companies have kind of low standards other than those that 135 requires.
Most good corporate jobs are hard to get. You really need to know someone on the inside at the job. Besides they are pretty savy at smelling out guys who are looking to accumulate quick Turbine PIC time. Having the RJ time might be a dedtriment if you are trying for a 91 job. You need to be honest with them on what your intentions are.
