Demo or Test Pilot Info
 

There's not really a very good category to post this question under, but I figured this would be the best choice. Just wondering if anyone could tell me anything they know about being a demo pilot or test pilot. Like QOL, pay, schedule, typical day on the job, etc. It's a little ways off, but I'm just trying to explore my options.

I have a buddy (former instructor) who demos for bombardier. he loves it , pays well , but he seems to be gone alot. He is based in CN. BDL airport

Thanks for the quick reply ce650. Does your friend mainly go domestic or international? I've read that alot of the demo pilots take the company planes to air shows and demo them there. Does he do that? Also, does he fly many different planes or just one?

He demos the global ex and the ch.300 , From what he says its a even mix of dom. and int.

No wonder he likes that job so much. Those are some sweet birds!:)
