They go fast

The biggest thing I've noticed about the X is how it wants so bad to be a fully automated machine but is missing several key components. For example. It was designed to accomodate auto throttles but doesnt have them. However, It is a great aircraft to learn complicated "glass" if you arent accustom, not to mention the performance. It incorporates primus 2000 avionics and dual fms. As far as quirks go I think it is fairly docile and performes great out of the Rocky mountain region where I am based. Ive heard it can be a maintenance hog but have had very few problems. Brakes are touchy and the thing wants to wheely like crazy with the buckets out so you really have to force the nose down on landing. Other than that it is a sexy airplane that goes high and fast.

A little late to ask...but what is the sn (approx)?

<100 non-split bus.....last choice
>150 new aileron roll perf......better
>174 Increased GW and Thrust.....even better
>220+/- incorporates BFG cockpit seats, LED lighting and Sovereign style pax seats....... preferable.

Good luck.

SN #94 New Interior, Non-split bus, It does have the aileron regearing mod, and the new LED lighting. Seems like a great airplane, however doesn't matter now the boss signed for it. I leave for school Sunday.

Need some more pilots? :-) Seriously, I think it's a nice airplane. I have heard that a lot of folks with red X the sim on their first couple tries while getting used to it. Good luck -- am sure you're love flying it!

Our compay starts the guys at 105,000 for type rating with no 299 ride. With 299 ride it is 115,000 plus a ****ty little SOL raise every year. It is a cool airplane great performance and great looks. Good Luck
