208 v.s. piston twin
First post here on APC.
I have 1100 with 70multi. and looking to get a corporate gig. The way I see the job market now-a-days is a guy with time like mine could go a few ways. the frist being the RJ check list reader,LAME or night cargo, or a 135 FO for a while. I am pro cargo just dont know about working nights. anyways... I am most likely looking at a Piston twin gig (airnet, keylime, barron, cheiftain, 300/400 cessna kinda thing) OR the ol' C-van. (cargo, checks or boxes)
what kinda time will get me on my way to the corporate job? more twin time? or turbine kinda time?

Turbine kinda time does not help much. It is still single engine. That is the first box to get checked off. Multi is only second to multi Turbine PIC. The only way to get the holy grail of Turbine PIC is with the multi.
That is my .02. A corporate gig is going to need the multi time for insurance, unless they have a corporate 208 I dont think the Cessna time will help much. Plus flying twins at night, IFR, is a great sim prep. for any interview.
Good luck.

Pending on where you're located, I know another 135 operator that'd hire you. Flying C-310's. Let's just say most people know that when you put a year flying 135 freight, you know your stuff!!

I flew for AirNet for a couple of years. As a floater I got it all... multi PIC in the Baron and Navajo as well as single turbine PIC in the 'van. There we nights when I'd fly all three! Only downside right now is that AirNet has no multi-turbine, but the grapevine I'm still tied into says that they are looking at either Beech 99's or 1900's... but nothing definate right now. Great place to work, though! The 135 single pilot night freight experience is one I wouldn't trade for anything. Looking back on the whole thing, I really think I only used up 2 or 3 of my 9 lives.
