Best Buy?
Wondering if anyone knows about Best Buy corporate aviation? I assume they are based out of Minneapolis, but any info would be much appreciated! They've got to have some sweet planes to fly the millionaire execs around!
Thanks...

I know that they are currently based at ASI Jet center at FCM(Flying Cloud) but I heard from ASI that they are moving to STP. The person working at the FBO was saying they are going to be getting bigger jets that are too big for FCM.

They operate under the name Olympus Aviation and are also on the TAG certificate ( or whatever TAG has morphed into nowadays ). They have/had 2 Excels as mentioned and have a Falcon 50DX ( I think, can never remember that designator ) with one or two Challenger 300s coming. The Challengers may end up being replacements for the Excels or they may be additional. I keep trying to call the boss to get an update. He was in Challenger school last week.

Most of their flying is 135, an 80/20 mix. It's an on-call 24/7/365 operation. You will have two weeks vacation per year, those are the only days you will be allowed to leave town. There are alot of days you won't fly and there are no other duties, but you are expected to be around ALL THE TIME.
It's a good gig if you don't mind being on a leash. Some months are slower than others. One guy I talked to only flew 4 days last May and 6 in June.
They have two Excels (one for sale), one Falcon 900DX and one CL-300. They took delivery of a second challenger, but the owner (or his wife, don't recall) didn't like a few details about the interior so it went up for sale.
The pilots there aren't going to be career guys, there's still alot of work ahead to make it that way. But I think the CP is on his way to making it a career job.
They are based at MSP these days.
