a company I interviewed with this week was offering 45K, but they are known as the lowest paying in the area (So Cal) and this area is lower than many in the country. I'd say thats a good base.

I have a friend who left to go fly for a company that has G-IVs. I am pretty sure he started somewhere between 60k and 70k(in Ohio)

I don't think I'm supposed to post external links on here (so I apologize if that's true) but I'd advise you corporate guys to check this place out. Each year, if you participate in their survey they email you a free copy. If you have $20 to burn and don't want to wait a year, I'd recommend it. Pretty thorough info and a good bargaining chip during negotiations with whatever company you're interviewing with and covers every corp aircraft including 91/135, etc.. and various job titles. http://www.avcrew.com/survey2007.htm

what kind of pay increases(f.o/capt) should be expected from flying a g/3 or 4. i can't find anykind of payscale or such, like on apc or other sites? in general would be fine or anybody having done it?

Business and Commercial Aviation has an annual salary survey. I think that would be a good place to start. If I had a copy nearby, I'd look it up for you.

I think the pay is going to vary a lot by the organization and if they are Part 91 vs. Part 135.

Which operator did you interview with?

It would be a little unrealistic to expect a generic payscale for any corporate flying position. The salary survey is the closest thing, since each company (or individual) can pay whatever they feel they need to.

Charter operators flying in the NE will pay a lot more than a part 91 operator in NC. They have to in order to keep their pilots from leaving--cost of living, un-predictable schedule, etc.

As for pay increases, the same goes. Most have an F/O pay and a Capt pay. It varies by operator whether you get an annual increase or not.

Professional Pilot Magazine, June 2007 (pp. 102-109) numbers:

91 GIV CA $115,000 F/O $80,000 AVG.
135 GIV CA $110,000 F/O $64,000 AVG.

GIII is about 11% less in both venues.

Hope this helps...
