JetRide?

Does anyone know anything about Jetride's hiring mins, etc? Doesn't look like they're hiring, but would still like to know a little bit more about them other than what's on their website. Jetride.com

They parked all 6 of their 30 series Lear's (four 35's and two 31's) and laid off 16 back in May. Then toward the end of June they laid off another 15 when they went from an 8-on/6-off schedule with 4 pilots per airplane to a 14-on/7-off schedule with 3 pilots per airplane... with no change in pay. So basically you are working an extra month (34 days to be exact) during the year for free. Or... another way to look at it is when they changed the schedule from 8/6 to 14/7, everybody took a de-facto pay cut. Also... I've talked to some of the guys on the new 14/7 schedule and they are not real happy with spending 14 days straight out on the road. :( Oh... and to top it off for all the folks that are still there... they just re-worked their health insurance coverage and I've heard from some of the guys with families that their cost (both monthly contributions and out of pocket expenses) went up substantially.

By the way... this should really be in the 135 area as Aspen JetRide (the latest name for the company) is a part 135 on demand pax operation, not corporate.

As of Friday, October 31 at 4:59 PM all employees were notified by email that their services were no longer needed. Three hours later all company phones, credit cards, and email servers were shut down.

Wow, talk about a scary Halloween. :( Nothing noted in their website's "newsroom" except last year's acquisition.
