Anything in St Louis ??

I just thought I would throw this out there, but does anybody have any recommendations for flying in St Louis? I just retired out of the military with over 6,000 hours. It's mixed helo and turboprop (ATP, A&P, and a couple of type ratings).. I grew up there and I'm trying to find something close to the family.

Thanks...

As mentioned on another thread here, take some resumes and start knocking on doors. In the corporate world personality is as important as qualifications.
Personality doesn't come through on a sent resume or e-mail.
I would think your A&P experience would be an asset to a small operation that needs someone to oversee maintenance. Not do the maintenance,
just have a knowledge base of what needs done.

St Louis

If awarded the EAS Routes Cape Air will be flying out of St Louis possibly starting in November and from looking at our entitlement bids its going very junior. Also the prospects of Cape Air getting these routes looks very good now

St. Louis is a VERY tight bizav market...and I understand there are lots of local unemployed bizav pilots in the area.

That said, given that you're dual qualified and have an A&P with a military background, you might be able to scrounge something up.

Good luck!

Lots of qualified corporate guys in St. Louis after the Anheiser Busch / Inbev buyout nightmare.

From what I have been able to see out of the 6 cities on the bid, (Cape air only bid 4 I believe), the score is :

Ft leonardwood, MO :Gulfstream
Decatur:Air Choice one ( with the caveet that they have to use only the caravan on the route, and I dont think they even have one yet??????)
One city ( cant remember which ) wanted Seaport, and the other 3 went with Cape AIR.

I dont believe anyone was able to achieve AA codeshare at STL, so it looks like Cape Air will probably get it. ( question is after the first year) will they still want it??;)

Decatur, IL, and Burlington, IA: Air Choice One -- which is another company who will likely be looking for people (Multi-Aero, Inc. formerly of Festus, MO. They did show off a caravan when they pitched service to everyone -- it was probably rented -- but they do have some charter work, too.)

Cape Girardeau, MO, Quincy, and Marion, IL: Cape Air.

They can codeshare on Chautauquas' STL-ORD!

Seriously, though, you'll find several former STL area folks on here who may know something about the corporate operations at SUS (but what they know is probably bad news).
