International plane options

I asked the same question in another unrelated thread but looking for more information. I'm looking to get some numbers put together so I can present them to a businessman about to get a huge project in the middle east and so he can write the travel expense into the project costs.

What aircraft what be the best/effective for travelling(I know a GLEX would be best but I have no idea what kind of money this guy wants to spend)? 6-8 px max, one stop unless two makes the travel easier/cheaper, buy or lease, IND area to Kyrgyzstan area, and also where I can find more information on operating costs(I found a site called PlaneQuest dot com).

Take a look at the Hawker 4000. DOC $1,600 per flight hour, 3200 mile range, full fuel (14,600 lbs) and still have around 1,600 lb payload. Pretty hard to match or beat at the price point approx $22 mil. Cruise at .83 at FL450 with a 6,000 cabin alt. 8 pax config. I am thinking HBC just announced 5 yr free maint. Might be worth looking into at one.

How frequently will he need to make the trip and how long will the job take?

2 segment path: 6276 nm
KIND (39°43'02"N 86°17'41"W) EINN (52°42'07"N 08°55'29"W) 48° (NE) 3154 nm
EINN (52°42'07"N 08°55'29"W) UTTT (41°15'28"N 69°16'52"E) 69° (E) 3122 nm

You can compare costs related to various airframes using this website

As I said last week, the CL604/900B/2000EX would be one stop eastbound/ maybe 2 stops westbound dependent on winds...and a 900EX/G-IV one stop each way regardless.

Assuming two stops each way:

3 segment path: 6003 nm
KIND (39°43'02"N 86°17'41"W) CYYR (53°19'09"N 60°25'33"W) 43° (NE) 1335 nm
CYYR (53°19'09"N 60°25'33"W) ENGM (60°11'38"N 11°06'01"E) 50° (NE) 2278 nm
ENGM (60°11'38"N 11°06'01"E) UTTT (41°15'28"N 69°16'52"E) 91° (E) 2390 nm

I'd say you could get by with a Falcon 50/50EX, F2000 "classic", G-III, CL601, Challenger 300 or Citation X.

You can get a REALLY nice used G-IVSP for cheaper than that and go 1000 miles further.

DSflyer05 12-22-2009 11:33 AM

You could always Get a G-V and go non stop.... both ways! But he is gonna need to spend the money.
