going salary for captain Falcon 2000
 

Anyone have any idea what the going salary for a Falcon 2000 Captain is in the FLL/MIA/PBI area?

I found the standard pay for that type of A/C would be in the 130,000 area. BoilerUP probably has the NBAA numbers.

$130k is probably high for a Falcon 2000...

The F2000/2000EX falls under the high end of weights covered by NBAA Jet III numbers:

NBAA 2009 Jet III (20-45k lbs) Captain Base Salary
Average: $98,204
25%: $85,250
75%: $109,438

Stanton 2008 shows average base salary for a Falcon 2000 Captain to be $98.5k weighted/$101k unweighted, and 2000EX $103.6k weighted/$101.8 unweighted.

The OP asked about South Florida...so I wouldn't be surprised with an offer in the lower end of both ranges.

So where do you think is the higher pay scales at? I always thought South FL was high cost of living therefore higher pay? No?
I'd imagine the NE and Califorinia, what about Vegas, Arizona?

Looking to relocate, and wondering what my expectations should be when or if the time to negotiate takes place.

Something else to be considered for which end of the pay spectrum you fall is the typical trip flown. If you're going to be flying oceanic you should be paid accordingly.

I have always found that South Florida jobs are generally underpaid. It is actually because of the relativily low cost of living. In my opinion Falcon did a great job of selling their products in the north east and the midwest that is where I would look for employment with this type rating. The west coast seems to be more of gulfstream country. I am in VNY and my company actually operates a classic da-2000 but it is in europe 10 months of the year. The crew actually have apartments in Moscow. We pay 112 to the pic and 95 to the sic and the company covers their apartment in Moscow. Thankfully the pilots are both single because my wife wouldn't let me be gone for ten months of the year.

I've got a buddy who flys a 2000(just sold for a G350) and an Excel in the PSP area and he takes home around 115K.
