Hawker Management
Hey all you pilots corporate pilots out there. I have a friend that is need of Hawker 800 clients. His company is generating alot of charter clients and needs more Hawker 800 series aircraft. He would like to find a client that currently has a 800 that it is not flying enough or is unhappy with their current management company. He can guarantee 250 hours a year charter plus what ever it is used for the owner. So find me some management customers for him and the may be some cash in it for all of us....who knows.

So you would like pilots to find you a 800 to manage, and by finding you this Hawker the pilots will probably lose their Hawker flying jobs in the process.
Am I hearing you correctly, I just want to make sure I did not miss the point of your post. |
Why yes, Yes you did miss the point. Perhaps the pilots would keep their jobs flying said hawker. Perhaps they would make more money as the plane I seek is not being utilized enough right now and my friend would put many more hours on it. Perhaps the owner of said Hawker would possibly keep the plane instead of putting it up for sale if it had more time put on it.

Bad,
Not trying to start anything but I find it unusual that the fifth post you make to a pilot forum is to try and find a jet for a friend to manage. Not sure what your background is because there is no info on your profile, but generally when a plane is taken over by a new management company that does not bode well for the pilots of the plane. If they are lucky enough to keep their jobs there is usually some form of pay / benefit reduction involved. If I am wrong about this I apologize, but I do not see this being of any benefit to the pilot group as a whole, I do see a small possible benefit to a owner, and a definite benefit to your buddy, but no benefit to a corporate pilot. If someone else has a better understanding of this please explain it to me. |

As far as grabbing an airplane from another operator - our company operates 4 Hawker 800's among other aircraft. We pay our pilots well (for charter,) and our maintenance is excellent. Anybody that tries to poach one of our aircraft by offering the owner a "better deal" is only going to be able to accomplish that by skimping on one of those two items. |

As for guaranteeing hours on a plane, my boss gets all kinds of them, from 200 - 400 hours per year. No one will put any guarantee in writing, or promise remuneration for hours not flown. Talk is cheap, but in this economy, if you get 100 hours charter, you are doing good.
