Where was that, DayJet? Not surprised- two man crews drives down insurance at operations where the right seat guy is mostly decoration.

Are you saying 50k is high or low? This operation seems to be offering less.

I honestly do not know, but since VLJ's are more or less already flying as Mustangs, Phenoms and Premiers then just use the NBAA rates for those aircraft. As far as my other comment, if a company is using two men to fly a single-pilot-IFR certified airplane, something which is quite common for insurance reasons, you can expect a lot lower pay because they have to spread the labor cost across twice as many employees.

$65,000 a year

Do not accept anything less than $60K, plus Medical and dental Ins. plus, plus, plus....Man, take the job until you can do better. They will pay more when supply (of Pilots) drops...

Teh pilot shortage cometh!

And no, they'll simply lower their expectations and hire someone with lower time to do the same job for the same price (or less).

I know of some Eclipse guys only making low 40's and others low 50's single pilot.

I'm at $55k now for single pilot part 91. I'm also the only employee, so I do EVERYTHING.
Supposedly they pay my health insurance, but it still costs me $900/month to cover my family.
