Default Bombardier/Dassault/Gulfstream

What's your favorite? Bombardier Global Express, Dassault Falcon 7X, or Gulfstream G-550?

Having flown them all I could care less, they are all nice......whichever pays the best and keeps me home the most....ditto that for any brand.

STAFFING is the better question.....all things being fairly equal I'd rather fly a well staffed Citation before flying a G550/GLEX/7X with 2 pilots.

Tough choice....but I'll go with the G-550.

Bigger the airplane....bigger the suitcase. I am fortunate to fly a Legacy and spend 90+% of my nights at home.

Not always!

I was never away more than when I flew a Westwind (2 pilots) I was never home more than when I flew a Global Express....go figure.

Nothing better than a well staffed airplane that pays well (often G5/GLEX/7X) Yes you may get some longer trips?....but its a great feeling when you are the guy(s) staying at home!

A hotel in the next state or a hotel in another country, does not matter to me unless its HOME.

Amen, nothing better than being home while the other two guys are 16 flying hours away.

Oh, and Gulfstream all the way. Flew a Falcon before the G4 and I'd rather hand fly the falcon but overall the Gulfstream is unbeatable in my opinion. G550 is even better than the 4

Haven't flown any of them, but have a friend who as flown the Global and the Falcon 900X. He says the Falcon wins out in every way.

Maybe you meant 900EX?....and you friend is very, very wrong..

While a 900EX is very reliable, it is woefully underpowered. 731s are APUs and Learjet engines, they don't belong on anything bigger. GLEX/900EX...not even really a fair comparison as they don't compete. People impressed with the power on a 50/900 usually are coming out of Hawkers or Citations.

I may be in the minority, but I also was also never impressed when hand flying any Falcon until the 7X. They all felt like Cessna 152s.

But of course (again) if the 900EX happened to be a great job (pay and time off) it would be WONDERFUL to fly....are there really ANY bad airplanes out there?

If everything else were equal (pay, schedule, bennies), I'd choose a Pilatus PC-12.

It may sound funny, but the 18 months I spent flying one was some of the most fun I've had in aviation in many, many years.

Otherwise, like the others have said - I'd only care about which was the better JOB, rather than which was the better plane (although I think the 7X is kind of a homely looking airplane compared to the other 2).
