I see their B1900D all the time at KDPA airport where I fly out of daily. I've always wanted to talk to them, but they land, shutdown 1 engine, pickup their outbound clnc, drop off 3-4 people, fire up the other engine while turning around, and takeoff in I kid you not, less than .1 on the hobbs meter...

kind of bringing this from the dead, but does anyone know anything new about menards? I see their citations about once a week recently. Also, with pay sucking...how does it compare to other B1900 operations? I assume that might be where they start pilots?

Bringing this back from the dead again for Sioux (Gotta help out the alums) My Instrument instructor looked at them for a while. Decided to go another direction cause he was worried about not living long enough to get another job. Makes sense with their lightning quick turns (watched their 1900 eat one of the FBO's carpets one time.) But I haven't heard of them wrecking lately so I don't know what he saw.

That is most definitely not what I have heard from talking to their pilots.... I don't think their pay rates are anything to write home about. That job is for the QOL or experience building, not really the pay. Not meant to be snarky. (unless something has changed recently)

Spoke with a higher up at an FBO recently. They have a couple Citation's that he said were new to the operation.
If you want to stay local, you don't mind the mundane out and backs, and you're willing (or needing) to fly a turbo prop, you can make a career out of Menards. Company is doing well, and the flight department is big. You'll see a lot of turnover of the entry level positions (at least when hiring gets ramped up), which is good for those who stay around.
It's not a company to avoid in other words, but it's no 3M.

The aircraft that are listed under Menards in Eau Claire are:
1996 Embraer 120-ER
2001 Cessna 560
2001 Cessna 560
1999 Cessna 750
1998 1900D
1998 1900D
1998 1900D
2003 Cessna 550
2000 Cessna 550
2006 Cessna 550
Regarding pay, a co-worker of mine checked into flying for them and I doubt that you will find a commuter FO making less per year than a new hire at Menards except for the bottom feeding companies such as Great Lakes.
