Best airplane for a 4 way share
Trying to put together a 4 way partnership for either a PC12 or B200. Most of the trips are going to be withing 1000 NMs if not shorther.. I know PC 12 burns less fuel but I think I m getting too old for a SE IFR up in altitude in Western USA.
Looked at Merlins and Cheyennes but their DOC is pretty prohibitive compared to the other two.

I don't have any time in the 200, but I really like the cabin versatility in the PC-12. The cabin is very comfortable. (Unfortunately, the -47 pilot seats are horrible.) The cargo door is great. It is nice not to have to squeeze past your passengers after you shut the door in the PC-12. I really don't have any qualms about the single engine nature of the PC-12. Would I rather have two engines, what pilot wouldn't? But only having one does not bother me. You can't get much more reliable than the PT-6 engine.

I just got my cert last July in the PC12... No actual time in the aircraft, pure sim. But I do have to agree with Disaster, cargo door is great.A lot of people are worried about the whole single engine thing. I've done my research and the PT-6 is a very reputable engine. Also the performance you can get out of it is amazing.
With 1,200shp you have more than enough power for short field operations, and hell if you wanted to land it on a grass field you could.
The landing gear design features was a very interesting subject to look into. And you can't beat a 30,000ft max operating altitude.
Don't let me get started with the Honeywell Primus Apex Avionics System...That thing will do anything and everything for you, short of making my bed and making breakfast for me in the morning.
Also I got the cert with 176 TT with my IFR check passed the week before. It's a very technologically advanced aircraft but also if I could praise it for one thing, it would be for its simplicity.I don't think I was ever overwhelmed in the sim. I got the certification but things fell through so I can't even begin to to run through all the pro's with that aircraft. But ask some of the PC12 drivers on here. I'm sure they'd tell you the PC-12 is one hell of a workhorse. Also check out SimComm's website for more info or PM me for more info.

I've heard parts are hard to come by on the pc12 may not be an issue anymore but had a buddies plane down 2 weeks waiting for brake parts. Nice thing about kingairs is everyone knows how to work on them. And two pratts are still better than one.

CE-550 Is hard to beat for trips under 1000NM..
Very economical and good speed..600/800K For a very decent one.
I've a group of 4 guys who just got a CE-650 III for 1M..
Let me know if i can help.
best regards.

And as to the single engine stuff, if the engine can start... it can fail. If it's got a prop, that can fail too. To say they never will ever ever fail makes you wonder then why do we bother practicing engine failures on two engine airplanes at all?
I don't know about the Merlins and I've heard Cheyennes have issues now finding parts.
The question is how many people and how many miles per a given trip and how many miles in a year?
If it's about 20,000 miles per year I'd make a bet that the PC12 you're probably looking at $300K/yr in total cost if you own it yourself? Split it 4 ways and it's $123K or about $10-$11K a month. Probably $11K on a B300, $9-$12K on the BE200 depending on age and price, and $8K on a B100.
a $1M C501 probably run you near the same price as the PC12. For about $12K you could maybe swing a bigger citation.
Hey, good luck.
