Default Pilatus pay?

Well, i had the come to jesus moment over the last week.

Decided to manage a pilatus and stop chasing the major airline carrot. Plus im rusty on my fly fishing skills.... trying to change that with this cush job.

So i have an interview where I am supposed to bring up my salary expectations.Job is 20 working days a month with some flexibility expected. Out of Denver. What would be a reasonable expectation ?

Thx

On that link Mr. Boilerup was nice to put up, it says PC12 manager average is $75-$92...

I'm sure you've seen that magazine add, "in business you don't get what deserve, you get what you negotiate"

As far as "giving up on the major airline carrot", I don't think so, that candle will relight in a couple of years.

I'm furlough from US Airways (now AA) let me know if you want my number, I want nothing to do with that circus

Pc12 pay for a left seater non 135 schedualed should be around 60-80. Low end for no experiance up to lots of time on type. For schedualed ops typically i have seen 40-50 per hour over a 90-120 hour month. Both pay right around 50-60k per year.

Thanks Natca,

I was thinking around 60k. Seems to be the general consensus.

Natca's numbers sound more like those for a line capt. If you are taking on all of the responsibilities of managing a Pt. 91 turboprop as well as flying 20 days, $70k would be very reasonable. I would start negotiations at $75K.

I agree. I will probably start around 70k. It's hard when you dont know what other people will say.

I hope someone who is desperate doesn't say they can do it for 35k.

I also have insurance through the wife, so that gives me a little bit more in bargaining power.

Thats correct my numbers were from alpha flying, surfair, and seaport for line flying. Most of the corperate wholly owned gigs are at the high end of line cpts. Like everyone said ask for 75-70 and dont accept anythig less the 60k and bennies.

Entitlement mentality got it…honestly, the salary offer will be based on what the payers think is reasonable. Unless you consider all variables and come up with a “reasonable” salary number, no one here will be able to give you “expert” advice.

I hope you get a good job at the highest possible salary, but you need to weigh what the job is and what the job offer is to determine this, not anyone here.

Best wishes,

Kevin
